Bookie of Virtues?

The Guardian reports that former drug czar William Bennett, one of the crazed fascists who spent years destroying the Constitution in a doomed, Puritanical crusade to persecute drug users, is himself a compulsive gambler as addicted to a disgusting vice as the people he persecutes.

Bennett, perhaps as a display of some sort of sick humor, wrote a book entitled The Book of Virtues. I doubt it included odds on $500 slot machines.

How can anyone take this futile idiocy seriously any more when the "drug warriors" are themselves addicts and lunatics like Ashcroft confiscate glow sticks and bottled water as "drug paraphernalia?" Posted by muldrake at May 4, 2003 12:00 AM | TrackBack
