Updated Doe v. Ashcroft Docket

SDNY CM/ECF Version 1.4 - Docket Report

This represents the case I reported earlier in this entry. There's even an actual document, although it is just permission to exceed page length.

The rest is dry docket entries and of course, most documents remain unavailable. Most notably, docket entries reflect amicus curiae briefs from such organizations as the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the American Library Association, Freedom to Read Foundation and American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression. This ALA press release explains a bit more:

Groups signing the brief are the American Library Association’s Freedom to Read Foundation the Association of American Publishers, the Association of American University Presses, the Center for First Amendment Rights, the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Feminists for Free Expression, the First Amendment Project, and PEN American Center.

Additionally, Ann Beeson has moved to appear pro hac vice.

There are as yet no surprises here, and in fact, very little information at all.
